Hi, I’m Fer

Newborn, baby, fur-kids, and family photographer. I’m the face behind Fer Soriano Photography. Based in Hoboken (just an 8-minute ferry ride from Manhattan), New Jersey, I serve all surrounding areas of New York. I specialize in lifestyle and natural light photography.

As a mom of two, and expecting my third, I know how important it is to capture our babies at EVERY stage. I absolutely love looking at my babies' photos, remembering how tiny they once were, and seeing their evolution over the years as they grow into our big boys and girls.

I treasure capturing these memories—the love, dynamics, and details of everyday life. I would love to do the same for you and your family, creating natural photos that reflect your unique chemistry…the true essence of your love.

It’s so much more than just a photoshoot. I know being in front of the camera can feel awkward sometimes, but that’s why I love being behind it — you won’t even notice I’m there.

My goal is for you and your family to simply have fun, laugh, play, and be yourselves. Because the real magic is in the connection, not in creating the “perfect” picture.

I take every precaution to create a safe and comfortable environment by wearing a mask, washing my hands upon arrival, and thoroughly sanitizing my equipment. As a mom myself, I know how easily germs spread around little ones, so safety and cleanliness are always a top priority during every session.

I know how hard it can be as a mom to actually be in the photos with our kids — it often feels like we’re just spectators in our own lives. Now it’s your turn to be present, to be in the moment, and to be the center of your children’s memories too. These are the moments you’ll hold onto forever.

I keep props minimal—just a letter board and a Moses basket for newborn sessions. Most of my work is lifestyle, so I focus on real, unposed moments rather than staged setups. I also love including pets in the session—sometimes they end up being the stars of the show and the ones who don’t want me to leave!
